Ben Cantu, Jr.
Ben Cantu, Jr. is a native of Floresville, Texas with longstanding roots in San Antonio, Texas. Ben attended the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). He graduated from UTSA with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Medicine. After graduating from UTSA, Ben worked as a physical therapy technician for two years before attending law school. Ben graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law in May 2022.
While at St. Mary’s, Ben was a Staff Writer and later a Comment Editor on The St. Mary’s Law Journal and a Research Assistant for Professor Emeritus | Hardy Chair Emeritus David A. Schlueter. Ben also served as a law clerk for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission—San Antonio Field Office, as a law clerk for a property law firm, and interned with a criminal defense law firm. Thanks to these experiences before and during law school, Ben employs a client-centered approach to his practice, focusing on efficaciously managing and litigating claims in the insurance defense arena.
In his free time, Ben enjoys spending time with his dog, barbecuing, and hiking. Ben hopes to hike in the Patagonia region of Argentina in the future.
